Copley downtown condo sold for $3.4M

The late David Copley’s downtown San Diego condo has been sold for $3.4 million, real estate records show.

Steve Bjorg, a local tech entrepreneur, is the buyer. He paid an additional $350,000 for the waterview property’s furnishings. The sale was recorded late last week.

Originally listed for $3,995,000, the condo is one of several Copley homes that have gradually hit the market since the start of the year. The listings are part of the settlement of the former newspaper publisher’s estate.

Copley died from a heart attack in November at age 60, leaving no children. It’s still unclear who will receive the proceeds from the sales of the homes and other assets including cars, household items and artwork.
